Coach Pietramala
We are always looking for new lacrosse drills they prepare and put our players in a position to be successful. But there are some common denominators especially in the challenges we face as we prepare meaningful practice plans. As you know by now we are huge proponents of an extremely high pace in practice and keeping everybody moving and involved and engaged.
How do we do accomplish this and keep it fast and interesting especially as it applies to our 6V6 work and Clearing Game? As important as 6V6 is to our success it can be boring for players not involved, especially for coaches that run 6V6 for 20 minutes or more in practice.
The Retriever Lacrosse Drill
Coach Pietramala shared a great lacrosse drill that we can use with any size roster or certainly adapt to any age group or roster size. I love this drill! In its basic format:
- 6V5 Transition to…
- 6V6 to …
- Clearing Game
